Splorations: Midway Country Motel-Highway 2

This is the Midway Country Motel. It has been abandoned for roughly 15 years. From what we found inside of the registration forms, last people to stay here were in 1994.

The rooms downstairs were hard to get into and had a faint mildew smell to them. Each room had a bedroom, a bathroom, and a kitchenette/living area. Upstairs appeared to be the motel owners apartment and was set up as such, with 3 or 4 bedrooms and a living room still set up.

This is the kitchen upstairs. It was pretty messy with empty KFC containers strewn about and dead flies everywhere.

We found the photograph up stairs here in the living room. Not sure if it was left by the owners or a movie prop left behind.

Friends of mine, Steve and Ann, found this knife in a briefcase in a closset. Ann wanted to touch it but Steve yelled at her not to.

Someone must have had a pretty angry phone call.

I love this picture, coffee and crack!!!! HAHA

Those shoes just sitting there are really creepy. Would would make someone get up that fast and just leave their shoes?

A letter we found, (later turned out to be a movie prop), but what really freaked us out was when I finished reading it out loud the door to the room with the knife slammed shut giving Ann and I a heart attack!!!!
